Entry One 10/07/2011

Today I...

1.       Said goodbye to the first of my housemates to leave – sad times indeed
2.       Went back to bed and had a bizarre dream about massively obese men parachuting
3.       Did a bit of cleaning (erm...)
4.       Looked online for somewhere to live – however, I have not got round to finding a job
5.       Debated starting a blog.
6.      Started a blog
from www.flyingfatguy.com - amazing story! check it out

I have to begin by saying I have felt some reluctance towards starting this. Yet another person voicing their unimportant and, more often than not, uninteresting thoughts into the ever growing pool of useless information on the web. I hope, however, that this provides a little bit of use to someone.

A little bit of background:  I graduated last Wednesday from Bath Uni with a degree in politics. Do not expect this to contain any great political revelations and satire, you will be disappointed. Since finishing exams, I have done very little with my life. I will not be doing a masters in the foreseeable future. I have no idea what line of work I want to be in. I do not know the answer to ‘what are your plans now? so do not ask me. My patience with that question is wearing thin. I’m not sure what the rush is to have my life sorted right this minute, but apparently I’m supposed to have figured something out by now. Despite this, I will be remaining positive, as it’s only been a few weeks, and I’ve been swamped. I mean, constantly occupied with all sorts of things. None spring to mind right now, but I know I have been incredibly busy.

In keeping with this, I have stumbled across http://www.wikihow.com/Organize-Your-Life. It raises some good points, although most of them are obvious, mundane and tedious. ‘Keep a calendar’ and ‘be tidy’, for example, is so glaringly obvious and dull, that I have decided not to listen to this advice, and remain unorganised and without direction. I’ll let you know how it goes.
